Big Dog meets even Bigger Dog!

I had forgotten that I had an extended journey after work today which added 4 hours onto my day. Any other day it would have been fine but not on Farm Duty Day!!!

Luckily, I was able to talk my colleague I worked with in the morning to take her kids to a "Free Farm" to play with the animals, let the chickens out and talk to the dog ..... however it didn't go quite according to plan.

They all freaked out as the goose were let out as they mistook a happy goose (for being let out) for an angry goose so they all fled back to the house and retreated to the kitchen, too frightened to explore any of the other animals. 

Then the dog ate Daughter Number 1's slipper and chewed up the post - all during "Kelly's watch" !!!! She called me 5 times in an hour! It was hilarious!

In the afternoon, my 'shoulder treatment' friend Annette came over with her 2 Giants. Her 2, flobbering enormous giants! Jasper looked so excited to see them arrive until he saw the size of them!!!! He wasn't quite so happy to see them once he was covered in their flobber!!!

Anyway, whilst I was in the field with Annette, a young lad approached with a few air rifles and said "Hi, I'm Adam and I shoot things". I thought we were in the midst of a hold up for a second !!! He went on to tell us that his girlfriend reared Ducks and that the Running Duck on the farm was hers. Annette then happened to ask if his girlfriend was called Maisey and he said it was. Annette then said "I treated her this afternoon"......... well knock me down with a duck feather.... I had never met Adam before, nor had Annette. Annette didn't even live in the area yet how on earth could there be such a close connection to them both all of a sudden.

I love strange coincidences like that!!!

Mr W then came over and I cooked him fresh egg on toast then gave Jasper a wash in baby shampoo to get all the flobber of him. He now smells like a baby and I can happily stroke him again!!
