The View from Here

I’ve never fully understood why Radio Orkney regularly reads out the forecast for Tromsø  and Kensal Rise (combined) every day at 7.35 a.m.  Instead of today’s forecast shooers and shimmering brollies, wet blankets, slithery puddocks, Wynder K Frogg out-takes, slippery branches*, blustery barnacles etc we were blessed with a clear azure sky; a Miles Davis Kind of Blue Day the Lapis lazuli was on tap.

Whilst dictating these meagre words I had an exceedingly surprise visit from Jim from Iowa.  He was home on pilgrimage visiting the Sutherlands of Hamnavoe.  He insisted on tasting the 18 yr old an Cnoc.
