It’s done!

My hip replacement has finally happened!

Here you see me immediately afterwards, looking tired and somewhat befuddled - mainly due to a surfeit of painkillers and sedatives! And not having eaten or drunk for 23 hours...

Huge thanks to everyone at the hospital for being so lovely, kind, encouraging and professional.

Similar thanks to family, friends and fellow blippers who’ve kept me going over the last few days, weeks and months and who will continue to sustain me over the next few weeks as I get properly back on my feet. I love you all!
