Beam Me Up

Well, I certainly didn't expect to be seeing this when I looked out my bedroom window just before 5PM. To be honest, it's not quite what I saw.... to the naked eye the bright yellow light was more of a pool in the mist than the beam it seems here. And you can't really see the mist here either, but I think it's what makes the sky that nice lilac/purple type colour.

The camera wanted to shoot this at 64000 ISO, but it was just too noisy, so I beasted it down to 800.

Work went well again today. Technically it should've been my day off, but I worked back a shift I owe them from when I was in Scotland for Mathew's old gran's funeral. It's never nice working your day off, but I don't grudge it. I'm just thankful I got the time when I needed.

Had a bit of a comedy of errors meeting a friend this afternoon (which turned into not meeting him, but we'll catch up later) so just came home and finished editing the pics from the San Francisco leg of my last holiday with Mathew. I'll blip them later or over the weekend possibly (though it's looking like a busy weekend!)

Trying to decide if I should head to the gym or not tonight... my body's rather stiff from the core stuff I've been doing, but I could probably still do some CV. I could maybe even try the core stuff, but maybe a rest from that wouldn't be a bad idea. Maybe a rest in general may be wise. Will see :)
