Time to go home

The weather decided to get us prepared to leave....misty, damp and even a bit chilly after so much heat  over the last 2 weeks. We went up to the Cloisters museum to buy the exhibition catalogue for VG then met L at the New Leaf cafe for a last brunch. We (surprisingly?!) didn't go for mimosas or bloody mary's but nevertheless had a good brunch and chat about the trip and future plans.
Back home and took some photos on the roof of the view along the misty Hudson and to the George Washington bridge and Palisades, then finished packing and had some farewell prosecco before the Uber arrived for us. No trouble getting to Port Authority and despite a bit of a frustrating wait for the coach, the journey to airport and check in all went smoothly. We ate L's picnic for us, took some Advil pm, got on the plane and settled down to sleep!
