adjust your focus

Today ended up differently from how I'd expected it to be. I made the evening meal this morning as I had a photographic job to do later on. That got postponed until next week. It was raining so I spent a productive morning doing some fiddly admin jobs.

This afternoon out came the sun! so I decided to cycle a few miles up the road to deliver the last of my Dunscore Digests. The recipient wasn't at home, but I had a long chat with his neighbour and a man who was building a drystone dyke. Then I picked a whole load of blackberries.

I took the opportunity on my cycle to test out the camera on my new phone. It will take a while to get used to. This photo is taken from the bridge by Irongray Church. It all looks lovely until you adjust your focus and look into the Cluden, which is very shallow at this point. You have to ask yourself - since the person dumping the washing machine obviously had a car and was only about 3 miles from the Council's recycling and refuse facility at Jock's Loaning, why dump it here?

Well I'm home now and dinner is made, so time for a bit of gardening, I think :-)
