1000 Origami Cranes

Senbazuru Tree

The colour of sky I painted this tree,
Allowing these birds to soar happy and free.
One thousand cranes gently dance in the air,
Delicate, elegant, they haven't a care.
Soft pastels. Bold brights! All varied in hue.
As I folded these cranes, my thoughts were of you.
Some patterned, some plain, quite small ones or great,
A 'Mah-velous" view, it was well worth the wait!


The Japanese word Senbazuru means 1000 origami cranes.
