Waning

The summer has suddenly left us, yesterday it was cool and sunny, today cool and cloudy most of the day. We’ll have a few more warmer days but overall, the air is becoming more crisp and these pots will have their contents composted. I’ll bring a couple in but mostly they won’t last in the comparatively dim light of indoors. I’ll hate to see it go and the bright days of changing leaves and deep blue skies will make it a little easier for a short while. On a happier note, I love seeing school supplies out and just waiting for those students. All the promise of filling those empty notebooks. The first days of returning to school were always exciting for me.
