Flowers and morning mist, Strachur

Driving from home  this morning ,  on my way to  Lochgilphead where I spent much of the day,  I was aware of lots of possible pictures of the mist that was rising from the hillsides and the lochs.  

I finally stopped  just as I got to Strachur because the contrast of that natural phenomenon with the profusion of flowers by the road was so dramatic.  

I have noticed in the last few days that  the displays of wildflowers and garden escapes seem to be more colourful than ever this year, perhaps because of the fine summer weather earlier on.
