The Curse of the Blipper!

I notice a small flock of black sheep every time I drive between Killearn and Balfron, but there isn't anywhere safe to pull in or park on that busy stretch of road, so this morning my mission was to take the bus to Killearn and walk back to Balfron, blipping the sheep en route.

As usual I snapped away at other things that caught my eye as I strode along - close-ups of gnarled bark, mis-shapen branches, copper-coloured leaves, etc - then noticed the flashing battery light on my camera... and, sod's law, just as I focussed on the wary sheep, shut-down occurred! The Curse of the Blipper!

That's why today's blip is of some tree trunks that I suspect were casualties of last winter's gales. They have become part of the scenery while they await their fate.

The black sheep will have to wait too...
