In the still of an Argyll evening
A brief visit to the office first thing then a drive to Lochgilphead. I came via Stirling and Drymen which was much more picturesque than the M8. Up the Bonnie Banks to Arrochar. Through the Rest and be thankful with it’s one way traffic sections with all the roadworks. Over to Inveraray and into Lochgilphead. See extras with another view towards Jura.
I was observing hearings in Lochgilphead then meeting some local panel members to hear their views. Unfortunately the 2 main hearings which started at 2 did not finish until 5:15. Another pre-hearing panel had to be taken and then the decisions and reasons written up. Those panel members involved finished after 7pm.
After the chat I headed up to Oban: more hearings and discussions tomorrow.
The drive up was stunning. The air was still. The sun which had emerged bather everything in a warm glow. The lochs were still and almost mirror like, as in the main blip. And there were few midgies.
What a wonderful country to see. Sadly, no time to do anything touristy as when I was free most things were shut. Still, the fish supper on the front was excellent.
A long and ( from the hearings perspective) emotional and intense day.
Tackled the main emails and turned in after midnight.
