Frustrating day

I came back here yesterday in order to collect my car which the local mechanic promised would be fixed. Was it chook. Car was standing there all forlorn. My calls and texts going unanswered so in desperation I texted to say I had booked his van on the ferry tomorrow and he would get it back in two weeks. By gum was he quick to reply and said he needed his van to which I replied and I need my car. Eventually after much furtive pleading texts from him, I decided to hide his van so parked it behind a hedge. He then texted to leave the keys in the van and he would be down to the house to collect van. I said I was having breakfast in the local cafe and could come and get the keys or I was taking it to Glasgow. He was down like a shot promising to have my car fixed by five. I eventually gave him the keys with warnings of dire consequences if my car wasn't fixed.
Car now outside my house and is working perfectly but not before he got another ear bashing. Don't poke the momma bear as my kids always say!
