Once a twig

When we moved into our house this lovely tree was just a 2ft high twig. It has been pruned a couple of times and has now developed into this nice lollipop shape that children seem to expect a tree to be. It is always one of the last trees to have leaves and to shed them. I have been waiting for a bit of sunlight to show it at it's best but no luck.
