Goldie Looks

The Goldfinch family living here seem to have split into two families now and this youngster along with four others of varying sizes have been visiting the niger feeder on a regular basis together.

He looks to have a bit of a dirty face but on close inspection I discovered that it was black feathers growing - the beginning of the beautifully coloured mask of an adult. 

Sods law as I'm typing this the sun has actually appeared! I'm tutting ....
