The accidental finding

We got up rather late in Spain, hungover in my case. The heat makes us extra lazy.

After breakfast and a brief trip to the community swimming pool (12 widths) we retired and waited for lunch, which was chicken, and chickpeas in spinach sauce. And two more courses.

We commenced our peregrination (yes, I am thinking in Spanish now, with odd results) around the village and the square, quite late. A 'marathon' which I understand was not the full 26 miles experience, was under way, and sweaty people in florescent T-shirts kept running past, being cheered enthusiastically by their family and friends. We went to a couple of bars, and met friends of our friends G and B, and I was able to chat to them in Spanish.

It must have been about 2 am, again, when I switched the light off. This is a view over the plain of Zafra From one of Feria's precariously high streets sampled on our evening walk.
