Painted Rock

As we were walking through the village to the play park, Oliver found this painted rock - one of the painted Westbourne rocks which people are hiding around the village.  He is going to take it home with him and hide it in the village he lives in as part of their painted rock activity.

A morning walk at Stansted House with the dog, we picked a box full of blackberries which we later stewed and had at lunchtime with apple pie and cream.  Emily and Oliver spent hours in the garden playing and training Merlin. He was a good boy and obeyed their commands (most of the time) and seemed more than happy to sit down in his bed and sleep by evening.  In fact we were all well and truly ready for our beds this evening!
