St George's, Isle of Portland

Portland  is a unusual place - with a single road onto the 'island'. It has great views back to Weymouth (see extra), a prison and a lighthouse. This church is 18th century. The pulpit and and reading desk are 2/3 from the back, so the front pews (squire and vicarage) face west, with their backs to the altar table!
