Training

After our recent canal boat holiday where Annie's brother did most of the driving, we decided we needed a bit more confidence. We booked ourselves onto a helmsman's course and had a very early start to get ourselves over to Kibworth in Leicestershire. The day was spent learning and driving, there were just three students on the boat so plenty of time at the tiller. The route included a 1.8km tunnel which we all had a go a steering through as we went through it and back again. We also covered off proper ways of mooring, turning and dealing with locks. We both finished the day much more confident.
