Harvest

Our apple tree always produces a reasonable amount of apples, but usually later in the year, and then there's a storm while we're on our usual September holiday, and they all wind up as rotting windfall by the time we're home. This year.... I presume the warm weather has played its part. Some have fallen, but there are still this same amount on the tree, either out of reach, unshakeable, or too small.

Legs tired after yesterday's ride, but still got out for a nice walk in the light rain (after some unsuccessful bramble foraging; and then no mushrooms on the walk); and with the weather clearing the chickens got out, while we tidied bits of the garden and then I gathered in the harvest.

My plans for cider may come to fruition....
