Apple troubles

It was a quiet start to the day, I made some bread, put the washing on, and expected to while away the day. Then I heard water running. There was a big puddle on the drive. Oh no, we will have to dig the drive up again....I thought. I got Mr D on the job. He fixed the problem thank goodness. It was a split hosepipe. In the midst of this I spotted that one of our apples looked a bit odd....it had been host to another resident :-( I picked it, cut out the brown bits, and shared the rest of the apple with Mr D. It was very tasty
It has been quite humid here today. Fortunately not as hot as in July.
