Portrait of a young Lothario on watch

I took hundreds of shots of three male hummingbirds chasing each other in a mad, aerial and ruthless display of territorial warfare. One mature male and two want-a-be studs at war. I settled on this watchful one, but there are many more keepers. The chase, the waiting and baiting, exciting. My Leica 90mm lens of my 24-90 zoom was about 18 inches from him, this does have a slight crop, but I was so close.

This day came in COOLER!! A northeast wind, less heat, but the humidity remains.

All hands needing helmets to sit on the patio, hummers on the move!
