Open garden day

Today we visited the garden of Nic Smeets which was open to the public.
We were overwhelmed, so many atmospheric places to sit and relax, almost a secret garden, so beautiful.
Amazing to see all the green, even after all that sunshine and heat this Summer.
We spent quite some time and had a nice conversation with the owners
while enjoying a cup of coffee and prune pie in their garden, so wonderful.

As always I couldn't choose and have posted several extras.
On one extra you see a sculpture by Piet Berghs, especially designed for this garden, symbolising  birth and death.
