Brexit: is it worth it?

A very emotional day today. We went to the bank to sort out our mortgage as the old deal is coming to its end. We had various things in mind, fix interest rate and a little reduction of the monthly payments. In the end we decided to go for a tracker mortgage as that allows us maximum flexibility, so we don't need to worry about fees should we decide to sell up and leave because of Brexit. This is the first time we decided in a particular way because of the unknowable Brexit mess. We did end up paying less though.

After the bank we went to the People's Vote march with about 1000 people. Good speeches, let's hope they help. Some of the Scottish Independence movement seem to think that the People's Vote is a distraction from their aim. I strongly disagree, Brexit is a huge issue and needs to be stopped. Clearly, it is England and Wales who voted for it based on a lying and cheating campaign. If Brexit happens it will be calamitous for everyone including Scotland be it independent or not. It should also be clear that the practicalities of disentangling Scotland from the UK are much more straight forward if both Scotland and rUK are in the EU. Brexit needs to be dealt with first then we can see about independence.
