Sunrise at the end of the pier

In the Nature Photography club I belong to we often go to New Brighton beach for sunrise when the sun is going to come up at the end of the pier - so this photo fits the trip title.

Have attached another shot of dawn, when it was going to be about half an hour before the sun came up. It was freezing, literally, at least -3C.

After a warming drink at an early opening cafe we went to Travis Wetland where the swallows were really busy gathering nesting materials, and feeding.
