The things I pick up when travelling - yesterday's haul.

*   It's a porridge stirrer, not that I had any idea such a thing existed, let alone that it is called a spurtle. Neither did I know that porridge should be stirred in a clockwise direction, so you don't summon the devil. (Made in Carsphairn Village, Dumfries and Galloway)


*   A fridge magnet with a well-known Burns quotation. It is surprising how many phrases come from the work of Burns. 

And the concert was good fun. Some wonderful music (amazing musicians they both are) and a lot of laid back banter. Add an enthusiastic audience and you have a great evening.
