Fountains Abbey

We visited Fountain Abbey in Yorkshire on Friday. This cavernous space was the cellarium where the abbey placed its very popular sheep skins for sale during the Middle Ages.
It’s a very well preserved abbey ruin, one of the jewels in the crown of the National Trust I’m told.
