Gig Day.

H went to our daughters to do a few jobs.i walked down to the village to watch the first gig race which started at 9.15 this morning while it was high tide.Porthleven has two gigs St Elvin and the Energetic.while i was snapping away this Lugger Happy Return came in .it was built in the then Porthleven boatyard in 1940.H and i just love these boats they have a lot of character.Has i was leaving the women gig rowers were starting their race.some come as far away as Bristol and Salcombe to take part.
