Midland Mills in Mono

Every time I've walked past this derelict building (previously blipped last year), the gates have always been shut.

It's a foreboding place, graffiti on the windows tells you it's not always uninhabited.

Today the gates were open and the sky was interesting so I whipped out the camera (I have a great deal of affection for my camera - I feel I should name it instead of calling it 'the camera'. After a few minutes a couple of blokes in hard hats walked by; I asked them what was happening and they said that work was starting on the old mill to turn it into apartments.

I've seen so much great mono work on blip that I thought I'd give it a go!

I may not get a photo on tomorrow - heading to the hills for a night under canvas, although events may conspire to prevent this!

Thanks blipfolk for the reaction to Looking East :o) Still getting round to catching up on journals - some of you comment so regularly and don't get a peep back from me from weeks - I do read them and I do appreciate them and I am trying and I'll stop going on about it and I'll eventually stop this sentence and I...
