Hospital day 2

In the morning CyclopsJnr was much better again.  First he was allowed to have the mask round his neck, and was soon taken off the oxygen mask and allowed to play in the playroom.  He was put on a protocol that meant he could be released as soon as he met certain conditions (no need to wait for doctor rounds) and by this point he had met all of the conditions except keeping his oxygen up while he was asleep.  This is the part that is taking a while…
 
MrsCyclops ducked out to get some lunch (they feed the kids but not the parents) and came back with a Lego Nexo Knights comic.  CyclopsJnr was pretty pleased.  He made the knight figures, and showed them to anyone who would listen.
 
Cyclops returned from Texas in the afternoon and came and swapped in, staying the night with CyclopsJnr.
 
CyclopsJnr has been absolutely tremendous.  He has been adaptable and polite and charmed everyone there.  They are all extremely kind and making time to talk to him and play with him and involve him in his care.  He’s been very interested in everything going on and the medical equipment and medicine, he says (as he has said before) that he would like to be a nurse and they all find that quite delightful and find more things to show him.
