the autumn coloured leaves of Tilia platyphyllos (large-leaved lime).

A still dry mild day. All the autumn colours are still going strong, and I was wrong about the rain setting in.
I tried to get stuck into some much needed housework but the day drew me outside....
Some of these limes have lost all their leaves already and I made a start on their three-yearly prune. Others have turned a gorgeous butter yellow.
