GWW Lecture

George Washington Wilson was a 19th century pioneer of photography, based in Aberdeen, and 37,000 of his glass plate negatives are held in the University of Aberdeen library.

This evening, photographic historians Dr Brian May and Professor Roger Taylor traced Wilson’s career, and showed key examples of his work with particular reference to his innovations in stereoscopic photography, using a stunning new 3D projection system .
