Ruinaulta - the Rhine gorge

What an awesome day! 
At the last moment my meeting was shifted to next week, and I was free to go out and play! 
We walked through the Rhine gorge, and it was so utterly beautiful! As we started early in the morning, we were first on our own as well. 
Later we watched some people swishing past in wildwater kayaks and those big rafting rubber boats. Looked like so much fun! 

Instead of just popping into the train at the end and taking the easy ride home I decided to walk upwards to catch the bus some two or three hundred height meters above. It was steep and hot, and Djeili got slower and slower and panted heavily, then threw herself on the ground and wouldn't walk on! I gave her water, but she wouldn't stop panting and also not get up. After a while we slowly walked on. When we got to a picnic area with a water well I asked people if it is OK to have the dog in the well, and Djeili was lying 5 full minutes in it! She was doing better afterwards and we walked 45 min to the next bus stop. In the bus she directly fell asleep. 

I hope she will be fit again tomorrow but we will surely be taking it slowly!

P.S.: Learned again about the joys of living in a small village now. On our evening wee walk we walked past somebody we have seen twice before, and she asked, "Will you take Jack, too?", and off I went with two dogs :)
