have I expected to find myself on the receiving end of a flower arranging demonstration. However the guileless and loquacious John, who, with his partner David, owns Hazel Cottage was too magnetic to ignore. 
Have you ever met a pair of seriously competitive flower arrangers before? - Who keep all their rosettes in the down stairs lavatory? No, neither have I.
So, not only could John cheerfully lead thirty three of us around his garden and then hold forth on the delights of variegated horseradish, as seen above, he could single handedly make and serve afternoon tea. (He didn't bake the cakes.)
This is a garden worth visiting, not just for the lovely John, but also for the cake and the hospitality and John and Davids' willingness to open their home up to complete strangers.
