Ratty

A windy trip to Leighton Moss today. The Marsh harriers were showing quite well but not near enough for a good photo (heavily cropped one as an extra). Typically we got a really good view of one as we drove home pass the turn to the Morcambe hides!
There were a few great white egrets about too (extra) but the best photo I got was of this little rat. I know they're not everybodies cup of tea and I wouldn't particually want one in my small garden but I do think they are cute. There was a slightly bigger (presumingly older) one with a youngster who was much more nevous but I managed to get this snap of her when she peeped through the undergrowth at me
