Fancy Dresser

It's monarch time, and I've been seeing them here and there, especially in the mornings. I visited the Arboretum early, on my way to work, and a stroll through the pollinator garden yielded a wonderful find: three perfect monarchs!

I did not see any spots on the hind wings that would suggest that any of them were male, so my assumption is they all were females. So there we were, the three butterflies and me, just a couple of girls out and about on an August morning, wearing our best summer clothes.  :-)
