The winner

It was the golf club presentation lunch today, 1st one we have had and a huge success. In the past we have presented all the trophies, that have been played for during the year, at the annual dinner dance, however, this has not been a success, due in part to the fact that we have so many guests at the dinner dance who aren't interested in the prize giving, and they won't stop talking and also it takes ages to complete and people want to start eating and they can't so they carry on drinking.

This is Roy & his playing partner Ken, they won the Pairs trophy, they both received expensive bottles of rum as their prize. The trophy has been engraved and will go in the cabinet at the golf club.

We tried to keep the menu simple, estafado soup, (meat and potatoes in a rich gravy) chicken or fish with chips, wine/water/beer all for 10 euros, someone complained that there was no dessert or coffee, you cannot please everyone.

I took all the photos, and I now realise how much hard work it must be for Sarah to edit her wedding photos. I'm now off to have a fried egg sarny and a cup of coffee.
