Back in the Saddle

Slept for around 12 hours last night and feeling a bit drained but better this morning.   Off to the Infirmary in the afternoon to have my 3 monthly discussion with my renal specialist.   

I like the straightforward approach of my doctor - I have decreasing kidney function and the likelihood is that I will have to have a transplant in the not to distant future.   Having lived with IGA for over 20 years there was always a chance that this would be the outcome.  Up until now it seemed easier to push the issue to the back of my mind but, given recent declines I decided that it would be healthy to open up about the issue.  This is a first step....

When we got back I had a hard cycle on my favourite route - popped into see some old friends - for some reason they do not have any youngsters this year which is very unusual.
