Vista With Oak & Deer

Taken on our walk this morning. In the distance is my favorite oak tree - perhaps not counting the one that stands right smack next to our actual house - with three deer under it. Two males, one female. The emotion I feel seeing this tree and those deer is just plain happiness.

The extra is a bit closer up of the three deer. They had been quite close to the road we were walking down, but ran away when they noticed us. It was a very deer morning for some reason. We surprised two in our driveway; a third at the bottom of our driveway; a doe with twins at the edge of the woods where we enter the hayfield; another doe bounding out of the wooded verge further up the hayfield; and finally these three in the field along the dirt road. These were the only ones I even had a chance to photograph! Mostly I just stood and grinned.
