Kirkwall Flower Arrangers

I was working in the town all day and took shelter from the rain for a while in the afternoon in the cathedral. The flower arrangement club's annual exhibition is only on for 3 days and last year I missed it, so it was in my diary this year!

What amazing displays they create, with great imagination and attention to detail. A tremendous amount of work, the two ladies at the welcoming table agreed, but they insisted, it's lots of fun too!

This year's theme is Inspirational Women. My blip is the one dedicated to Malala Yousafzai, the young Pakistani woman who has campaigned so fearlessly for the right to education for girls and young women.
