Beechwoods Local Nature Reserve
As usual for a Wednesday it was over to Fulbourn for Margaret's volunteer job at the hospital. While I waited for her I had a walk around the Beechwoods Local Nature Reserve on the back road from Fulbourn to Trumpington (Worts Causeway). I haven't been there before and was delighted to find a rather good reserve with quite mature Beech trees. Note to self, be sure to go back in the Autumn for the colours...
The real prize today was the carved tree stump tucked away in a thicket near the entrance. The Old Man of the Woods perhaps.
After my walk on my way back to collect Margaret I saw a local farmer drilling a cover crop of Mustard with a New Holland T7.210 tractor and Väderstad Rapid 300S drill. (extra)
