Wide-Eyed in Christchurch

I don't have a wide-angle lens for my new mirrorless camera, but among the frightening array of menu items is a panorama setting, so I decided to give it a try.  So you have the view from Christchurch Quay, with a colourful flotilla of sailing dinghies about to take to the water.  I think I can fit this in with BobsBlips Wide Wednesday theme of emotion.  Pleasure, yes, but a nervous feeling as well.  My father was keen for me to learn sailing when I was a child, and I took lessons to please him.  But I was never any good at it and always had a sinking feeling in my stomach when my instructor appeared.  Canoes yes, but sailing boats
I prefer to watch from the shore.
