Some Sad Stories

This is H.C. Andersen's gravestone, I was passing the graveyard today so I popped in for a Blip. This is not the most creative of shots but there's a few stories here. 
In reverse chronological order, they are; 
The cling film is to cover the dangerous chemicals that were used to remove graffiti. 
The stone is new because many older stones were falling over and one, in fact, killed a two year old boy in our local graveyard last year. So new stones for everyone. This is costing a lot of money to the church.
The stone is a replacement for a replacement of at least two more …..just since 1875. A quite elaborate grave was given by his sponsor when he died but when his sponsor died his son moved the grave and down graded the whole thing. He did not like HC at all (see last section perhaps?)
HC's stories are many and well known, mostly thanks to Disney but also due to the fact the versions you and I have heard are tamed down and not as weird/freaky as the originals.
Then finally the fact that HC was massive pervert and probably a paedophile.
