Views of Riga

These side streets in the Old Town keep revealing such pretty views of old buildings and spires. The shot top left of the collage is taken from our bathroom window and is of the main cathedral tower.

After a reasonable nights sleep...2 hours' time difference was enough to throw our sleep pattern ...and an excellent breakfast, we set forth to get to know Riga Old Town. It's a delightful and calm place, with only essential traffic. Lots of other tourists but not many English voices to be heard. The range of languages we can't identify is incredible. Polish, Lithuanian, Russian, and Latviian..who knows what else.

The promised day of rain did not materialise until 5.00pm by which time we were in a Cuban bar with our cocktails reminiscing about Havana!

Tomorrow a museum or two.
