Nature Diary... The Green, Green Grass of Home

It's just two weeks since the weather changed and we finally had some rain during which time the straw coloured grass came back to life once more and turned a beautiful shade of green. The cattle are now able to feed on fresh grass rather than chewing their way though the farmer's winter feed stock which was supposed to see them through the cold of the winter months. Enjoyable the heatwave was, refreshing it is now that it's over. We can all go back to being grumpy again and talking about the weather. Great!
Two weeks ago
