The Look Out Room...

That is the room right at the top of Victor Hugo’s House where he used to do his writing. Wonderful view over the harbour and on a clear day to his beloved France. I’ve spent many happy wet Sunday afternoons surfing on the tiered window seat. A boyfriend of mine lived there because his father was French Consular Agent and his mother caretaker of the house.
Well worth a visit; though not this year because it is closed for renovations. There will be a lot of disappointed French visitors to the island when they realise this...
