E.Dene, Early morning view from my window! This is a really beautiful place, my third year on this trip, first time doing both nights! Pretty tired but it's such good fun, the kids are having a brilliant time.

This will no doubt be my last residential trip for a while as I'm thinking about not coming back to work next year - taking some time to be there for E when she starts school. My job has no flexibility to allow for me to go to sports days, assemblies, parent meetings etc - and I can't bear the thought of not being there for those. You only get one life, you only get one opportunity for those events. I don't want to miss them, and while we can afford to do it, I'd rather focus on my family for a while.
So, a lovely, peaceful view at 5.30am, time to get dressed and be ready for the day ahead!
