Calne (Tuesday 14th August 2018)
It has been a while since I blipped the town centre. Here it is as seen from Beaches Terrace in front of Fay's Bistro. The River Marden disappears under the A4 and reappears on the other side of the A4, to the left of the Town Hall, at The Wharf, where it shares a stretch of water with the terminus of the old Wilts and Berks Canal. If you look closely, there are pigeons all along the ledge of the Town Hall's clock tower just below the spire, and a couple in the air, but I don't think they are sufficiently prominent to qualify for Tiny Tuesday.
I took several other pictures on my walk and some are stored in my Blipbank to be retaken on future days, including some wildflowers growing in the water at The Wharf which I need to identify.

Lozarhythm Of The Day:
Mississippi Fred McDowell - Baby Please Don't Go (recorded Jackson MS, 1969)
From I Do Not Play No Rock 'N' Roll. Hadn't ever heard this magnificent version of Big Joe Williams' blues standard until listening back to Cerys Matthew's Blues Show of the previous day. He uses electric guitar and some subtle use of backing musicians on this album, showing he was still innovating less than three years before his death in 1972 at the age of 66.
