A Journey To The Sun
I've taken this blip of the morning sky, and Sun, after relaxing on our garden bench, where I contemplated the Parker Solar Probe mission over a cup of tea, in company with the pugs.
Even the title of this blip is an amazing concept for me. I just find it astonishing that this probe, a manmade object, is currently speeding further away from our planet, on a journey towards the Sun.
The speed is just flabbergasting. I googled it, and the Parker Solar Probe will be travelling towards it's destination at up to 430,000 mph, or an estimated 25 times faster than a speeding bullet.
The distance of the journey is beyond comprehension too. The Parker Solar Probe, which is similar in size to a car, is expected to travel the distance of over 90 million miles, to within 4 million miles of the surface of the Sun.
Indeed, the journey to the Sun is definately a mind boggling space mission, and I look forward to trying to comprehend some of the new discoveries, which may be made through our communication with this faraway probe.
