White faced heron

Looking very smart with the little plume on its  head! Must be spring.

Thank you so much to all the lovely Blippers who put my terns and grey warbler both on the front page, I was so thrilled. Warblers (also known as gerygones apparently) aren't the most striking birds, but they do have such a lovely song.
