A Heron

I spent most of the morning doing little jobs around our daughters house, so that everything was clean and tidy for when she arrived home with the baby.

I did some washing, cleaned the kitchen, vacuumed upstairs, resealed the bath to the tiles, hung a new shower curtain, cut the grass and took a load of rubbish to the tip, dropping our son off at the railway station on the way! He was brilliant today, playing with Jessica whilst we got on with the housework. He had a great time building some Lego sets with her.

On the way back from the the tip I went to a park for a walk, where I spotted this heron resting at the side of the lake.

Thank you so much for all the comments/stars/faves for yesterday's baby blip.

I went shopping for some tea and then, after an interminable wait (several hours) at the hospital (due to staff shortages and some baby emergencies) I collected our daughter and husband and baby Emily and brought them home, arriving back around 8:30 p.m.

Apologies that comments on blip may have been a bit brief today - there has been so much going on…

Thank you so much for all the comments/stars/faves for yesterday's baby blip. All very exciting (again) for us
